Member of the Month: Sheldon Lester Member of the Month Sheldon Lester CrossFit Tidal Wave So, what brought you to CrossFit Tidal Wave? Member of the Month Sheldon Lester CrossFit Tidal Wave  I wanted to lose weight and get into shape. A friend mentioned Crossfit to me, and I’d actually never heard of it but I wanted to try something different than the typical gym routine I’d used in the past. My friend encouraged me to do the free trial classes at Crossfit Tidal Wave and I knew I’d come to the right place. The supportive environment was refreshing and the individual coaching from Shaun and Taylor has been integral to achieving my goals thus far. Having such a knowledgeable staff and such an encouraging small class environment has really set my Crossfit experience apart. How long have you been CrossFitting? Just over 2 months. What do you do out there in the real world? By day, I’m a recent Computer Science graduate from the University of Houston. By night, I am fat-but-getting-smaller Batman! Do you have a favorite lift? Power or Olympic? Probably have to say the floor press or the sumo dead lifts. Your favorite WOD? Anything that leaves you on the floor gasping for air in a puddle of your own sweat! Member of the Month Sheldon Lester CrossFit Tidal Wave Favorite Song to do the WOD? Anything Coheed… Or the Batman theme song. Any changes to brag about? I’ve lost 20 pounds in 3 months, gone down 2 pants sizes and a shirt size, plus I can run 2 miles without stopping now. I’m stronger, faster and can now more effectively fight crime! What are your current goals? My immediate goal is to get under 200 pounds. In the long run I’d like to get down to 180. Mostly I’d like to continue improving my strength and endurance in general.
