The pushup is a perfect exercise to perform on the rings. Depending on how high your feet are (relative to your hands), the exercise changes difficulty in the same manner as a regular pushup. The higher your feet, the harder this exercise becomes. Here, you’ll notice several differences from your ordinary pushup:
- Your abs and lats prevent the rings from moving forward.
- Your pecs and front delts prevent the rings from moving outwards to the side.
- Your biceps, delts and traps prevent the rings from moving backwards, towards your feet.
- And your rear delts and upper back prevent the rings from moving inwards.
